Our Stephen Ministers invite you to be extra caring today! Greet everyone with a smile. Ask them how they really are. Give them an extra hug. Find out if there is anything you can do for them. Thursday Night Dinners Are Back!
Is cooking dinner and then getting to one of the Adult Discipleship classes on Thursday night just a bit too much to do on Thursdays? Then let someone else do the cooking! Come to Fellowship Hall to enjoy a pasta dinner, beginning at 5:30 PM. The dinner lets you get to the church and get to your class—or get your children to JAM, when it starts up September 30th. Like to cook? Then consider offering to cook a pasta dinner for one of the Thursday Night Dinners. If you can help, please call the church office at 412-655-2000.
Laurelville Fall Retreats
We will be taking over 100 middle school and senior high students on fall retreats this year. Each year we hear testimonies on how this retreat has proven to be life changing and has led to true transformation for Christ in many students lives. The cost of the trip is $130, so many families need partial or full scholarships to get their child there. If you are able to help partial or fully scholarship a student please let us know by contacting Debbie at 412-655-2000 x131 or Tim at x130. You would be making an eternal difference.

The Carillonaires Need a Few Ringers!
At least 4 ringers are needed for the Carillonaires. If you’d like to chime in this music ministry, come to the Monday meeting in the Treehouse at 7:00 PM.
The Treehouse, if you’ve never been there, is where the old offices used to be. If you don’t know where that is, call Jeanne at 412-655-2000 x128 for directions or more information!

Unselfish Beggars
Rock Forge Church, where the Unselfish Beggars donations go.
Each year, Unselfish Beggars collects good clothing and non-perishable food items in Pleasant Hills. Collected items go to Rock Forge, WV, to help people working to get out of poverty. Please help!
- Flyer distribution: Oct. 17th-24th
- Prepacking: Oct. 23rd & 29th
- Pick-up & packing: Oct. 31st
- Delivery to Rock Forge: Nov. 1st

October 3rd Potluck Dinner
The Pittsburgh Vietnamese Presbyterian Fellowship and the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church congregations will worship together on World Communion Sunday. Later that day, the Friendship International choir from Hungary and Romania will join us in a potluck dinner at 5:00 PM. Ham will be provided for the main course. Please sign up at the reception desk or by calling the church office at 412-655-2000 to bring your favorite potluck dish. Following the potluck dinner, at 6:00 PM, the Friendship International Choir will give us a concert in the Sanctuary.

Are You Away at College–Or Is Your Daughter or Son?
If you are attending college or have a son or daughter attending college, the PHCPC would like to send him/her a nice care package before finals. At this time we are gathering addresses. Please call the church office or e-mail Tim Comer using the form below with your son/daughter’s college address. The kids have really enjoyed receiving these packages, which always include a personally written note for each student.
