PHCPC will be hosting families for the Interfaith Hospitality Network from December 4-11. Volunteers are needed to drive the van to and from the Crafton house, cook meals, or stay overnight with the families. Youth leaders, children’s leaders, parents, any adults with a heart for kids: you are invited for a night of delicious food, fun, worship, and a great speaker. Former PHCPC member and CrossOver youth leader Darren Bowers will be our speaker. Darren is now the Family Ministry Pastor at North Way Christian Community. He oversees all ministry programs for children and students, from birth through college, across all North Way campuses.
What is the purpose of this Youth Leader Get-Together? Sometimes, when serving in ministry, we don’t take the time for spiritual refreshment, fun and relationship building and that is what we would like to provide. If you have any questions, please contact Tim Comer at 412-655-2000

Come to this Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fundraiser on December 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Great Room. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens at the door. Digital communications have become more powerful and more complex. To create a responsive and coordinated approach to getting the word out, we’re forming a Digital Communications Team (DCT)—and we’re looking for teammates.
If you have experience with web sites, Content Management System software, mass emailing, Twitter, Facebook, digital graphics, video, SMS or just know your way around the digital world, we need your help. Working on the DCT, you’ll have the chance to develop skills that will be useful to our church as well as your current or prospective employer.

This is the first Sunday of Advent. The Rev. Dr. Paul Thwaite will be preaching.
Bethany Lueers, principal clarinetist of the Three Rivers Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (and daughter of Jim and Cathy Lueers), will present a recital of classical music for the clarinet at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 27 in the Sanctuary. Bethany, a sophomore at Hampton High School, is a member of the honors wind ensemble and a student of Mary Beth Malek. Jim Lueers will accompany her on music by various composers.
There will be a luncheon at 12:30 PM in Fellowship Hall on November 27. The menu will be Olive Garden lasagna with additional side dishes. Paul and Jan Thwaite, along with their daughters, Katie and Becca; and Jim and Cathy Lueers, along with their daughters, Bethany, Celeste, Elisha and Holly would love to use this time to visit with you.
You are invited to attend this luncheon in Fellowship Hall on November 27 at 12:30 PM. Cost is $8/adult and $5/under five. Please call Debbie Sauter by Wednesday, Nov. 23 for reservations. And since you will be here, stay and hear a wonderful recital at 2:00 PM by Bethany Lueers, accompanied by her father, Jim.
