What We Believe
We believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again that we might have life eternal with Him. Everything the congregation does, we do because we are grateful for what He did and we are thrilled to be part of His plan for humanity. We believe that the Bible is God’s unique and inspired revelation to humanity: the book that tells us about Christ’s saving work.
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners… –1 Timothy 1:15
Our Vision:
“To glorify God, to make disciples, and to meet human need.”
Our Pattern: The Three Priorities
Priority One: a growing commitment to the Triune God.
Priority Two: a growing commitment to the Body of Christ (the church).
Priority Three: a growing commitment to the work of Christ in the world.
Our Strategy: Reach-Grow-Send
Reach out to the uninvolved and the uncommitted with the good news of Jesus; Grow with one another in the faith; Send one another to serve.
The Creeds of the Presbyterian Church (USA):
The PCUSA believes that the creeds in its Book of Confessions are reliable and faithful expositions of the teachings of the Bible. They do not replace the Bible and they are not superior nor even equal to the Bible. They are guides to help us study God’s Word. The Office of the General Assembly has downloadable versions of the Book of Confessions and the Book of Order. These books make up the Constitution of the PCUSA.
