Pastoral Staff

Associate Pastor (Head of Staff) - Paul Thwaite
 

Paul Thwaite - Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care and Outreach Ministries. Paul oversees PHCPC ministries including the Board of Deacons, Stephen Ministry, GodSend Mission ministries, New Connections ministry for new members as well as other programs related to mission, outreach, and pastoral care. A graduate of Gordon College (B.A., History) and Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Paul has served on the staff of PHCPC since October 1995. Paul and his wife Jan have two daughters, Katie and Rebecca.

Parish Associate  - Carolyn Cranston

Carolyn Cranston is serving as the part-time Parish Associate at PHCPC. A Pleasant Hills resident, Carolyn graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Home Economics Education. She earned her M. Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and did a one-year residency for Clinical Pastoral Education at West Penn Hospital. Carolyn continues to serve as the Director of Alumnae/i and Church Relations at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, a position she has held since November 2000. She has one grown daughter and three grandchildren.

Director of Children's Ministries - Marie Hasselman

Marie Hasselman comes to PHCPC with a tremendous background of Christian Education, having taught in Christian schools in Pittsburgh.  Her "Big-picture" thinking are igniting her to make a big difference in teaching our children through fifth grade about the principles of following Jesus Christ through dynamic and strategic Sunday and midweek ministries.

Administrative Assistant - Claudia Wicks
 

Claudia Lou Wicks serves as Administrative Assistant for Rev. Paul H. Thwaite. I work with ministries of the church that are under both associates and Preschool. I am responsible for the church directories and the office/workroom and calendar activity. Claudia has been on staff at PHCPC since 1989. She is married to Wayne and has two grown children and one granddaughter.

Music Admin. Assistant - Jeanne Hutchison
 

Jeanne Hutchison is Administrative Assistant/Worship and Music. In addition to publicizing upcoming department events, she also helps coordinate the logistics of ushering and technical teams, and is the office point person for the prayer chain and office volunteers. Jeanne has been on staff since 1993. She is married to John and has three grown daughters and one grandson.

Administrative Asst. - Linda Stout
 

Linda Stout is Assistant to the Senior Pastor, a position she has held since 2002. She has been a member of PHCPC since 1977. Linda is married to Chuck and is has two grown daughters.

Youth Ministry Admin. Asst. - Debbie Tobias

Debbie Tobias is Administrative Assistant for Youth Ministries and has served in that position since 2004.  She is married to Ed and has two school-aged daughters.

Financial Administrator - Joyce Scott
 

Joyce Scott is Financial Administrator for PHCPC. In that capacity, she is responsible for daily accounting and human resources information. She has been on staff four years. Joyce is married to Ken and has two school-aged daughters.
