Come to this Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fundraiser on December 3 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Great Room. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens at the door. Bethany Lueers, principal clarinetist of the Three Rivers Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (and daughter of Jim and Cathy Lueers), will present a recital of classical music for the clarinet at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 27 in the Sanctuary. Bethany, a sophomore at Hampton High School, is a member of the honors wind ensemble and a student of Mary Beth Malek. Jim Lueers will accompany her on music by various composers.
There will be a luncheon at 12:30 PM in Fellowship Hall on November 27. The menu will be Olive Garden lasagna with additional side dishes. Paul and Jan Thwaite, along with their daughters, Katie and Becca; and Jim and Cathy Lueers, along with their daughters, Bethany, Celeste, Elisha and Holly would love to use this time to visit with you.
You are invited to attend this luncheon in Fellowship Hall on November 27 at 12:30 PM. Cost is $8/adult and $5/under five. Please call Debbie Sauter by Wednesday, Nov. 23 for reservations. The old Morgantown, WV Storehouse of God
Please consider taking a 1 day mission trip on Saturday, October 9, 2010 to work on the Storehouse of God in Morgantown. Children are permitted to go as long as they have parental guidance doing the trip. Our car pool will meet in the parking lot on Audury Drive at 7:00 AM with a scheduled departure of 7:15 AM. We will return by 5:00 PM.
The One Day Mission Trip will be working at the new Storehouse of God.
While at the Storehouse of God, we will be doing needed construction work.

PHCPC on Wheels will provide visits to shut ins in care facilities, combining hymn singing, Bible stories and Fellowship. Two dates scheduled so far are:
We will meet at 2:15 PM in the Lobby and plan on spending time at the care facilities from 3:00 to 4:00 PM.
PHCPC on Wheels is a cooperative effort between the Deacons, Stephen Ministry and the pastoral staff, but everyone is encouraged to become involved.

On Thursdays in the upper parking lot, you can find the Farmer’s Market! Come get fresh fruits, vegetables, plants and other items! Once again, bread from Breadworks will be available; profits from the bread sale go to help PHCPC ministries! The market is from 3:30 PM until 7:00 PM.
When you donate through payroll deduction at your work to the United Way (Code 1390) or The Combined Federal Campaign (Code 15762 for Federal employees) you can help the over 200 households registered at the Coverleaf Area Ecumenical Food Bank. Just designate our name and Code Number with the address: Cloverleaf Area Ecumenical Food Bank, 1 Grove Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. You can enter it in the lower right hand side of the form. We are listed on the Combined Federal Campaign list but not on the United Way list of member agencies because we are not alloted any regular United Way funds. August 23rd, the West Jefferson Hills Ministerium held a service of blessing and prayer for the school year at the Thomas Jefferson High School Auditorium. Below are a few pictures from this event.

The first annual Unity in Community 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk will benefit local church and non-profit organizations in Pittsburgh’s South Hills. This event, sponsoerd by Dance Workshop by Shari, Inc. and Dancing for a Difference will begin and end at Caste Village Shopes on Saturday, October 10th. The day includes additional events, such as Zumba classes, yoga instruction, face painting, balloon artists, DJs, food and more.
