The Grief Recovery Group meets Sunday, December 18 at 9:30 AM in the Pastor’s Conference Room. If you have experienced the death of a loved one, please come. Jesus promised: “Blessed are those who mourn; they will be comforted.” Stephen Ministers will guide our discussions with support and caring steps. Come for hope and healing.
The Memory Loss Support Group will meet tomorrow, December 5, at 7:00 PM at Panera’s in Southland Shopping Center. If you have a family member going through memory loss, you are invited to attend.
If you are unemployed, underemployed or thinking of a career change, this new faith-based group might be able to help! Working with the book Finding a Job God’s Way, this group will be a place where we can encourage each other, discuss important job search strategies and network. The group meets every other week. The next meeting will take place on Monday, November 21 at 7:00 PM in the Youth Room (Room 230). If you are unemployed or considering making a career change, we hope you will come. The Stephen Ministers of PHCPC invite you to attend our “Meet the Stephen Ministry” night on Wednesday, November 30 at 7:00 PM in the Parlor. If you are new to our church or have any questions about this confidential, caring ministry, please come. We would love to share with you what we do, and answer any questions you might have. Come, too, if God is calling you to serve with us as a Stephen Minister. A new training class is forming and will begin in the Spring of 2012. We would love to have you be part of our team!
If you are attending college or have a son or daughter attending college, the PHCPC would like to send him/her a nice care package before finals. At this time we are gathering addresses. Please call the church office or e-mail Tim Comer using the form below with your son/daughter’s college address. The kids have really enjoyed receiving these packages, which always include a personally written note for each student.
As a church, we are to be there for one another in the bad times — and the good! Pastor Darlene and members of the congregation visit those who are in the hospital, send cards, and/or call. Stephen Ministers are there to walk beside you through difficult times. Elders and staff are here to rejoice with good news and pray with you about news that’s not so good.
But we can’t help if we don’t know there’s a need.

Do you have a heart for welcoming people to our church? If so, we are looking for a few people to help with the new members class. Our next new member class begins this October. Call Jean Simpson if you are interested in joining this important ministry.
Individual requests for pastoral needs are being handled by Pastor Darlene Hann in conjunction with a designated team. Requests should be directed to Pastor Darlene or Linda Stout.
PHCPC on Wheels will be bringing hymn singing, Bible stories and fellowship to Arrowwood July 25th, meeting at 1:15 PM in the Lobby and plan on spending time at the care facilities from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
PHCPC on Wheels is a cooperative effort between the Deacons, Stephen Ministry and the pastoral staff, but everyone is encouraged to become involved.
