Worship and Music

We want to help you make each Sunday a powerful, meaningful worship experience that glorifies Jesus as Savior of this earth! If you don’t have a church, or would like to try something different, we hope you will experience Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church. Please feel welcome to attend any of our worship services.

Worship Services

The time-honored creeds of our faith, communion, baptisms and excellent teaching by our pastors affirm the centrality of God’s Word to our faith at both worship services.

Traditional Worship | Sundays at 9:00 am
The traditional service is in our Sanctuary and features classic hymns led by our Chancel Choir and organist. Beginning September 12th, the Traditional Worship Service will be at 9:30 am.
Contemporary Worship | Sundays at 11:15 am
The Contemporary Service is in our Worship & Activities Center (Great Room) and includes a praise team with vocals, guitars, drums, and keyboards accompanied by multimedia video and PowerPoint. Beginning September 12th, the Contemporary Worship Service will be at 11:00 am.

Worship and Music Teams

Instrumentalists | Come use your musical talent to glorify God!
Instrumentalists are included regularly in worship and for special musical concerts and recordings. Put those hours of practice learning your instrument into a joyful outlet for your life! Please contact Robert for more information on how to get involved!

Chancel Choir | Rehearses Tuesday at 7:30 pm (Sept.-June)
The Chancel Choir provides music ministry for our 9:00 am worship service in the sanctuary. The Chancel Choir is open to all high school or older singers who enjoy singing for our Lord! Repertoire includes the favorite hymns of our faith, a broad mix of choral selections (classical and contemporary), and major choral works such as cantatas and musicals.

Technical Ministries | Sound, Computer, Lighting, Multimedia
Do you enjoy working with computer interfacing, sound, lighting, or multi-media programs? If you have knowledge of or would like to learn the “how-to’s” in these areas of expertise, this is the team for you. We need you for Thursday evenings, Sunday mornings at either worship service and all special events.

Praise Teams | Rehearsals Thursday at 7:30 pm
Worship Teams sing and play for our 11:15 service each Sunday. Rehearsals are Thursday nights at 7:30 pm. Vocalists meet to work out parts at 7 PM. Worship Teams are open to high school or older musicians. The team consists of guitarists, keyboardists, drummers, singers and instrumentalists. If you have an interest in joining one of the teams, please talk to Robert Morehead. Teams rotate to provide participants some Sundays to just enjoy being in worship.
