Volunteers Needed for Financial Audit
PHCPC is preparing to do a full financial review of all books and records relating to finances. The primary purpose of the review is to insure good financial procedures and to help the congregation have confidence and trust in the stewardship of their contributions. It reasonably verifies the reliability of financial reporting, determines whether assets are being safeguarded, and whether the law and procedures are being complied with.
We are looking for church volunteers to perform this financial audit. We are looking for a committee of members versed in accounting procedures with auditing/accounting experience, and who have time to devote to the tasks at hand. Experiences should include auditing rules, regulations, and internal controls.
If interested in volunteering your time, expertise, and effort, please contact Cindy Wozniak, Business Manager, via email at moc.hcruhcsllihtnasaelpnull@ydnic or by phone at 412-655-2000 x132.

Book Featured During Lent: Final Words from the Cross
The sermons throughout Lent will be based on the book Final Words From the Cross by Adam Hamilton (Abingdon Press, Nashville, 2011). This author also wrote 24 Hours That Changed The World (2009). Final Words gives an in-depth consideration of the six hours during which Jesus suffers on the cross. A limited number of books are available in the church office for approximately $10.00 each. It is also available for both Kindle and Nook.
